Besides, is batman your favorite or batgirl? Should I chase the "girl"?

I never had one, so a bit curies. However, is that a bit weird for a jubilee on such a sporty wach?

Sell the explorer and GMT.

Actually, it’s a very personal decision, so asking on the forum will likely not net you the best answer.

You are absolutely right! I love them dearly. If it's up to me, I will keep them all. Love is blind, but finance is reality.

No doubt about the sub. But the carrier... It kills me. When you look at it, it looks so cool.

Same.

Keep the GMT for sure, then one more for variety.

Why keep the GMT:
- Does everything the Sub can when it comes to realistic 'diving'
- Also has GMT function which is likely the mostly useful complication ever
- Similar size/weight as the sub many would say "They're the same watch"
- If you ever change your mind, a Sub is easier to add back than a GMT due to the relative hype
- Looks more interesting than the sub

While I also prefer the BLNR and thus agree with most of your points, can we say the BLNR can do everything the Sub does for “ diving” when it lacks a diver timing bezel?

The sub has its magic power.

I had one in 40mm with the maxi case; well, the time we still can walk in and get something right away from Rolex. Then I sold it. Then I missed it and traded in for the same model. I sold it again.

Last year, again, bought the 41mm sub...

When I hold it, I feel bored. I don't have it; I miss the look, the functionality, and the robustness.

Here we are again.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've bough and sold quite a number of Subs over the years.

I think the Sub is a wonderful (maybe the best) one-watch. If it's your only watch you can't get bored with it since it's the only one you have and you are stuck with it. This worked for me for a long time back in the day before the collecting bug bit me again.

But in a collection it can get boring and lost in the shuffle.

Having said that, I feel the exact same way about the Explorer which I have a similar history with the Sub. Great as an only watch, boring and lost in the shuffle in a collection. I had no problems wearing it everyday when it was my only nice watch, but I almost never wore it once I got other watches.

So I think I'm going to change my mind and contradict myself. I now think you should just keep the Cartier and one of the Rolexes (BLNR would be my pick by a mile). Because the Sub and Explorer don't really work well in a collection imo.

I’d keep a dress and a tool. All of the Rolexes are variations on both. Since the Cartier is not a tool, I’d go with “tooliest” Rolex. Keep the Sub and Tank.

Agreed with this reasoning. The Rolex are all variations on a theme. The Cartier is a classic that stands on its own.

Impossible to answer for you. What is your wear pattern like? Which do you wear the most/least?

Thanks. The problem is... is not what I like. This is what I can prioritize. So, I have to pass the question to you. Just you are in the situation.
