Parts list question
I have a 2001 Rolex Explorer II. Does anyone know if there is a way to find the original parts list for my timepiece if I have the model number and serial number? I want to find out if the original case had drilled lugs or smooth lugs - my case was replaced before I got it - and my timepiece was manufactured during the gray period when Rolex was selling drilled and smooth cases.
Thank you. |

Rolex doesn't actually make watches by model-year. A watch made around 2001 could be a P serial prefix, or a K. The change is usually understood to be during the P era, so you would find P serials with either holes or no holes, but there could be carry over in either direction. Rolex never made any changes based on serial numbers or prefixes as a start/stop point.
If your case was changed, do you have the Rolex paperwork that shows the original serial number?

.
No hole cases started 2003 for Gmt and Explorer . Most probably , if 2001 , yours was born with lug holes. If your bracelet is orginal to the watch, the SEL format can help confirm that, but SEL for lug holes case is totally inappropriate for no lug holes case, because it avoid dismounting the bracelet ... so at least SEL were replaced same time as the case ... |

Contact Rolex, don’t think there’s a list per se but they could tell you
