Called someone out for having a fake rolex

Well I'm in college and was drunk at a college bar.... I was talking to a group of people and when i was talking to him personally I asked if it was fake (or something like that).

Long story short that was a **shole move that I've never done but was drunk, he made a scene out of it. - Not a asshole, but I guess you shouldn't ask someone in college if they have a fake watch.....

The main thing that make me realize it was fake was the weight, the head or case of it was heavy and band was so much lighter I would say at-least a 3:1 Ratio. Usually genuine watches have a somewhat equal weight distribution feel

I've owned genuine Breitling Chronomat Evolutions for 2 years, not a rolex but you don't feel all the weight in the case. Can someone tell me if this is true for rolexes? Can someone confirm? It was a GMT wit the blue and red bezel.

Haha possibly! was out till 4!

I would never call out someone for having a fake rolex, It was a drunk move! But anyways, he did take off the watch to let me hold it and I'm just trying to ask if rolex have a abnormal weight distribution between the head and band?

What is abnormal to you?
What is abnormal to me?

Seriously this is leading to nowhere!

Real Rolexes mostly are heavier than fakes, but not all of them.

And usually the watch heads (on steel watches) are heavier than the bracelets - but that changed with the new Ceramic Sports models.

If we are speaking about a precious metal watch, the reply will be different.

So, you may see that noone is able to give you a qualified reply on this.

Next time that you are drunk, just keep your mouth shut. It may have ended much worse than it did. I'd certainly not given you my watch if you where p*ssed and called me out on my watch

Maybe you're assuming it's fake because you think college students can't possibly own a real rolex?

It felt cheap, light and overall didn't feel like a luxury 5K+ watch.... Ive owned a Breitling Chronomat Evolution and I'm comparing with that because I've seen fake BCE's and noticed the cheap feel / overall weight

Translated: I have a fake Rolex that I'm thinking of selling on CL. I'm worried that the light weight will give it away. Is it true that the fakes do not weigh as much as a genuine Rolex?

Thanks for all your help.

I call people out for wearing a fake Rolex, but only when I'm 100% sure... I.e. when I can see it from 100 feet away :)

Why? What do you get out of it besides embarrassing someone?
