5212a owners, please show me your straps

Hello everyone,

If you have 5212a where you have changed up the strap, can you please share? I am looking for inspiration on what looks good on this watch.

Thanks in advance

Any fine strap will look great on this watch.

Wow nice. Do they let you order the deployant or off your other watch?

Seo - I bought the SS deployant from HSWA in NYC in Jan. 2023. It cost $526 + tax + shipping.

I have the exact same configuration - looks amazing! My only comment is the deployant buckle not sitting in the middle of my wrist due to my small sized wrists (i used the last hole)

Hi David, I was thinking about getting a SS deployant for mine as well. I keep hearing you can’t use the same straps that you use on a buckle?

Could you elaborate

Thank you

I have the SS 5935A Deployant on the 5212. The straps have to be reordered because the lengths are different from the Pin Buckle straps that came with the watch. Both lengths are different.

This is a great post to reference for differences in buckle vs. deployant strap sizes: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...3002002&nojs=1

Patek also makes it easy to visually distinguish the two. Straps for tang buckles will have a stamp with a B in a box and deployant straps will have a D in a box.

As others note the deployant lengths are different but a pin buckle strap will work although the buckle will be offset on the wrist.

Did you use the springbars that came with the straps or did you transfer over the oem one?

Basically it looks like any strap goes well with this watch. Amazing.

Do you use OEM springbars or the third party ones that come with the straps?

Because of this bracelet, I wore the 5212 more than any other watch last year.

I wash my hands a lot, and I am always worried about splashing my straps, so this bracelet makes this watch a daily.

Also, the nature of the display makes it fun for a daily and lastly no one knows it’s a patek so it’s easy to wear to work as a no bling watch.

Shinola doesn’t show the end link bar anymore so maybe confirm with them it hasn’t changed.

If anyone here knows of an OEM SS bracelet I would gladly switch out to a Patek; but I absolutely love this bracelet on my 5212.

Of course you have to have the tools to size it.

Very nice. Does it come with a quick release spring bar?

The blue suede strap that has been shared is a must - its my favorite.

I also took a tan strap I had from my 5320. I don't mind that on tan either

Its a very easy Patek to change the entire feel with a strap change

Beautiful. Can you share the details on that brown strap (code number). I’ve been looking for that shade for my 5396r and my Patek AD didn’t have anything in that brown.

The 5212 is a strap monster! I sold mine last yr but my favorite thing about it was how versatile it is.

Here’s a borrowed pic on canvas.

Here was mine on a Delugs strap.
