brian,
I am not an ebay expert: From what I hear, there are as many ebay bogus buyers as sellers out there.. I am also told one of the bogus buyer scams is using a fake escrow transaction. Beware. Sell on your terms, but make sure the buyer is comfortable also. |

I like what Larry said above. This is your sale, you dictate the terms. Don't do anything that you're not 100% comfortable with.

You know the watch is good, so the only risk is the money!
It's your watch and you have the right to dictate the terms. The safe way is to get a money order or personal check and don't ship the watch until the $$$ has cleared the bank. If they are not comfortable with your terms, then I would question their intent.

I agree with KansaiVet. I have sold and bought several items on e-bay but none as pricey or "scammable" as a Rolex. I have never had any problem but one never knows. It least on this forum people are a "known entity"

I see where your are all coming from but if you had the money and wanted to buy a watch on Ebay all these suggestions would likely be reversed.
You would be asking him to send the watch before you parted with your $$'s. What we need to do is find a method that completely protects both parties, that is the fair way. How many +ve transactions have you had on Ebay, how good are your Ebay pixs, do you look legit to someone reading your ad? And last but not least are you listed on Ebay as being in PHUKET,THAILAND as that would send a shiver down most buyers spines. Most transactions (Ebay or not) rely on both parties being honest but one party usually has to act first and this is not usually the dishonest one. As KansaiVet says you can offer the watch for sale here after 15 posts but does 15 posts make anyone a more honest person and how does that make anyone a "known entity"? JMO. Good luck.
