Icon7 NWA Incoming Alert

Hi TRF members, hope you're all having a great weekend so far!

I've been long-time lurker as well as a silent follower in this AP discussion forum. Thank you for all of the insights/tips/insider news, I've managed to build a r/s with my local AP Boutique in my country and acquired my 1st watch allocation in Aug-2023.

I've been keeping in touch with my SA - although I did not indicate my interest straight away after my initial acquisition. I only managed to make an appointment to see him again hoping to try on the new RO ALYX collaboration 2 months later. Silly me after being told that unfortunately any special edition would never become an exhibition piece I did inform him of my next target though I was told that unlikely it would've come in 2023. He however would try for me for the next year's allocation instead.

Fast forward 1.5 month later, i.e. post Christmas period and nearing the end of 2023, I suddenly received a text message from him that he got a magazine for me to pick up. I tried to fix an appointment with him 1 or 2 days later however was only able to finally meet him in person around 2nd week of Jan-2024 as he was off during the NY period.

When I saw him, he handed me over the magazine as well as the AP Cleaning Kit (same as the other members here already posted). Still, no other new exhibition pieces for me to try on as the display were all still the same. So, we spoke briefly about my "interest" and some new novelties that would come out later this year. He was such a nice chap who's willing to show his laptop to show me about the upcoming models though they're still marked as confidential LOL. Again, same process and same words communicated as last time - there's no definite timeline it would come. If it does not come in the 1st Q of the year, then maybe it would come in the 2nd Q of the year.

This afternoon, out of the blue I received his text! Was jumping up and down as I've never really expected it will come so so so soon It's the fastest allocation, even faster than Hermes or VCA so I've accepted his offer - the timepiece will only come in on Tuesday and I've made an appointment to pick it up on Wednesday! I don't wish to keep the suspense too long for everyone but you all can check out the thread again on Wednesday :) I am so thankful that I am starting the 2024 year with a bang by crossing off one of my wishlist so early!

Thank you!

I was shown some ladies pieces with bling. I indeed saw one that the other TRF members had discussed in the other thread, i.e. YG with smoked dial

I would rather wait till Mar-2024 when they make an official announcement :)

Just in time for the update!

As promised, I am so grateful to be allocated this 26715ST! In none other than the BLUE NUIT dial~~~

My SA has outdone himself! He told me he was so pleased that he could get his Manager's approval to allocate this hot piece to me :)

Unfortunately the lighting at the Boutique could not do any justice. I will post some mandatory wrist roll photos under the sun during the day time tomorrow

Thanks Everyone for sharing my joy in this forum!

Congratulations. I have a 15450 and it's my one and only. I had tried to get the chrono as well but never happened.

Nice. Congratulations on your first one. The buying expérience is also part of the joy of acquiring one. In some crowded areas Hermes is a really poor experience in comparison.

Yeah I didn’t see that part shame on me.

Funny that my wife was also in love with the RO ALYX. Lucky girls, 2024 will be a pleasant one for you ! My SA said it will be heavy oriented toward feminine audience.

Thank you! I wish we had more choices in dial color apart from Blue or Grey like the 41mm

Unfortunately it's been gloomy since morning in the part of the world that I live in so just this indoor screenshot will do.

Will post some action picture in the other thread some other time.

Van Cleef & Arpels make that ring, it's in their "between the finger" ring collection. So nice.

Hi, It's Van Cleef & Arpels - I am collecting their jewelry pieces too.

Thank you! Was mixing up the definition for being masculine and feminine at the same time with this photo LOL

Whilst tidying up the stuffs, I found this old AP booklet given out when I first visited the Boutique.

Boy, it's been ~10 years already! Sometimes a short walk down memory lane simply by flipping through the pages is all it takes to appreciate where AP stands today.
