Milgauss/GMT IIC Bracelet Question...

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question for all you bracelet experts regarding my Milgauss.

The polished links are getting a bit scratched up now which is starting to bug me, and I'm still a way off requiring a service.

I have managed to source a brand new complete GMT IIC bracelet with the more secure fliplock clasp at a great price,
but before I pull the trigger I was wondering if the GMT IIC end-links will actually fit the Milgauss case/lugs without any modification

Thanks in anticipation for your comments

I would polish your exsisting bracelet with duraglit, make sure you cover the outer part of the bracelet with masking tape.

I've never tried it. Maybe the watchmakers can help. They look a bit different to me.

The end links look different to me as well.
I think the suggestion of changing just the clasp is a better one.

Many thanks for the comparison shot Mike

I think you're correct too, those end-links do look a different profile

Oh well, guess I'll just have to rethink this one

I'm not sure what problem you would solve by this switch....

However, if I could get a GMT IIc bracelet at a great price, I would get it...

It would look bitchin' brushed and on my Sub... or my 16710....or maybe the 16700....

Heck, I'd just like to get a hold of a clasp...

The main reason for the switch (other than the scratches) is for the more secure clasp of the GMT IIC. A couple of times my Milgauss has popped open without warning, and I'm getting paranoid about it now

I have also had a quote from my AD for just the GMT IIC clasp at 695 GBP!!! This way I get a new clasp and bracelet for much less than just the clasp through my AD

Just really need to know if it will actually fit.

If you can get the entire bracelet for less than the price of the clasp, just take the clasp off and replace it....

If you have no use for the bracelet, I would be interested in buying it.

Have got to say I've never heard of a Milgauss bracelet popping open before. Personally I wouldn't swap it for a GMT II c bracelet. Can you not either send it or take it to Rolex in London for them to sort out?

I have to agree here. Mine has never released unintentionally, maybe you have a clasp problem and need it adjusted.

I wouldn't go the Frankenwatch route either, but I don't think you really be able to fit it anyway after looking at the two of mine.
