the big question…which Submariner colour do you prefer?
…for some reason, any discussion around the new Submariner LV bezel gets quite animated.
so the big question…which Submariner LV bezel colour do you prefer…old or new? i haven’t added a third option of ‘don’t know/don’t care’ although i appreciate there will be some who can’t tell the difference; or choose not to accept this change. image courtesy of rolexmagazine.com 2020 OLD 2023 NEW thank you for reading and participating. have a good weekend!

I'd have to see it in person to be 100% sure, but by looking at the pictures, I like the old green tone better.

By far the old, had it. Like black more than both.

From what I've seen, the new bezel can look as dark as the old bezel in the photo above. The difference is that in sunlight, the MK1 will look plasticky and flat, whereas the MK2 will appear vibrant and colorful.

The new one is so much better !! It’s what this watch needed so badly … like I’ve said before, the mk1 just looks like a hulk without the dial ! And I did/do like that watch .. but the mk2 bezel is much improved and exactly what the watch needed to more closely resemble the 2003 50th anniversary piece .. which is the whole point of it in the first place after all !

I prefer the new one, mostly because I think it resembles the original 50th anniversary Kermit, and I like that.

That said I’ve not seen the new version in person yet, but from the picture I much prefer the new one.

I have a December 22 Kermit, so a MK1.
Haven’t seen the new one in the flesh so can’t say for sure but I like my one.

Old for me. I like the deeper shade of green against the jet black dial. The new one does look good but I'm very happy with my April 2022 LV.

sub wearer here. i like all colors of sub bezel - black, green, blue, faded colors of older aluminium bezels, "fantasy" colors of artisan-made aluminum bezels for older subs... i noticed long time ago colors is a game in its own right among sub / gmt fans - and its great.
