Great intro, it's always nice with new members that read the rules before they post.

I read the rules. I do not believe this is a "gun topic". I do not believe that lawfully carrying for self protection is offensive. Off topic yes, but not offensive. Pocket dumps photos are basically a profile of the poster. Sometimes interesting.
So, no firearm pics. Hopefully, the rules will show a little of latitude on these issues. Beyond the pocket dump, my other interests include backcountry aviation, diving and Tenkara fishing. My relationship with Rolex goes away back (my first Sub from the AD was $800). Since then I have been brand loyal. |

For me? I dunno, I consider myself law abiding (and rule abiding). I think a forum should promote free thinking and speech, within bounds. I get it. This is a watch forum, but banning topics per se seems intolerant.
I read the spirit of the rule to rely on the Mods judgement, common sense and fair latitude. Mods want to have some fun too. So, is the DS a Sub? I always thought of the Sub, Sea Dweller and the DS part of the Sub genre. |

Just read the comments you've invoked already, all of which are still showing.. Your picture however, has been removed! It does not fit with the rules of this forum, that goes for both the topic, and any pictures... It has been a taboo subject on this forum from it's inception, and there is no change or bending on that. There are plenty of other forums to discuss those topics, this just isn't one of them.....

You're not going to last long here with an attitude.. TRF is not anti-gun, nor is it an anti-2nd amendment venue..
It is an International Forum, and as such, takes into account the different viewpoints around the world. It is also a Forum that is not "based" in the USA. I'll bet that I've handled, used, carried, tested and taught more and bigger weapons than you have, but I'm here to enforce the Forums rules. Rules that are in place to avoid unnecessary confrontation and protect every members views from being trampled on-line, even if they aren't mine.. Enjoy the Forum and it's members for what it is, a watch forum for watch enthusiasts, not for what it isn't..
