The underdog between the 2 for sure but definitely the one to get if you find yourself in whiteout conditions a lot

Criminally underrated. Doesn't get much notice from non-watch people but when I see someone with that watch on "I just know" that they are a cool person.

It's my favorite Rolex by far. No one knows it's a Rolex, and that's the way I like it.

Nice to see a Rolex "out in the wild" and not as a protected safe queen.

Great picture. I prefer the back dial over the white one. The contract between the black dial and the bezel is much more dramatic than the polar dial one.

Oddly, I like the white dial Exp II and Daytona better (probably due to this forum) but I actually think the black dials of each are better looking. Gives me something to pursue as I don't have the blacks. Great pics!

Exp IIs are the best references! Have a newer 42mm with black dial, but long for a 5 digit in black or white. Tool watch supreme!

Nature and adventure is great for the soul. Dogging under those conditions must be for the woodiest among the woods. Moments like this is what warms the cockles.

Why the worry about a watch being less popular, Or noticed less by those who don't follow Rolex watches.

It was presumably deemed a less popular model by the public. Hence why you see less of them. The metal bezel was a bit 00's, but that's fine though we can still enjoy things even though your neighbors may not.

Enjoy the photography!!

The 5 digit Exp II is a wonderful watch and yes I agree on the fact that the black dial is supreme.
P.S. Very nice photos.
