Are chocolate dials popular?

I have not seen one in person, just the website, but I'm looking at a 36mm DJ with the chocolate dial. Just curious.

I have a chocolate Timex that I got when I was probably in the fifth or sixth grade I'm guessing. I think on certain bracelets, etc., it's still a nice color in certain settings. The Timex today though, just something that sits in a drawer, can't be serviced, probably cost $20 at the time, just a sentimental piece.

I don’t like wearing brown in general but I’m glad the option is there for those who like that color.

If you like it why would it matter if it was popular?

Have to agree because many today only wear/buy if its reported as popular or hyped.

The fact you done see many maybe answers your question but if you like that colour that’s all that matters

In Antarctica, maybe, but wouldn't want to wear one in the tropics.

Yeah, definitely. They only seem to do them on rose gold these days, which is a shame, because I actually think it looks pretty banging with yellow!

I had the chocolate dial rose gold Datejust 41 for about 3 months. Beautiful watch but I quickly discovered TT RG doesn't work for me. I think as a strictly dress watch is works well but for casual wear not as much.

I recently turned down a DJ41 rose gold/SS with the chocolate dial because I just wasn't in the position at the moment to purchase & I preferred the 36mm version instead of the 41mm, which is what they were offering. But this is the only DJ that I want at the moment. I already have a SS DJ41 on jubilee

I really like the combo of the chocolate dial & rose gold.

My friend has the rose gold Daytona chocolate dial, now discontinued, it’s a beauty .. I’m not personally drawn to any watches that have a chocolate dial currently ..

I should have included as part of the original question, are they any more or any less difficult to get than any other DJ.

Tend to be easier to get vs the stainless Datejusts. TT of all configuration are easier to get

I don’t own one, but I love them.the Vintage GMTs with the chocolate nipple Dias are amazing looking IMO. Additionally I often times find myself admiring the rose gold chocolate dial jubilee DJ41 and debate trading in my Datejust for one.

One of the nicest watches I've seen is the rose gold Skydweller with a chocolate dial. Sadly not in my budget

Chocolate dials are quite popular and have a unique, rich look that stands out. On a 36mm DJ, it’s a classic choice and looks great in various settings. Your Timex story is sweet; it's nice to have those sentimental pieces. If you like the chocolate dial, go for it – you won’t be disappointed!

Love mine! The RG is much more toned down than YG. Also, on my skin tone, any SS with PCL and polished lugs and bezel is flashier than this SS/RG. I sold my Milgauss Z-Blue to fund this one..
Now considering the “Root Beer” GMT for my 40th next year.

Of all places, I saw a 36mm DJ today in Skagway, AK. Jubilee bracelet but smooth bezel. New, unworn, with cards and box.

I can see myself owning one. The only reason for walking away today? The 19k price. That ain’t a happening despite the explanation from the sales guy.

Oddly enough I also turned down his $29k Pepsi. On jubilee even. Despite his explanation of the market.

The chocolate dial however, super unique, not as dark as I expected and a very nice looking timepiece.
