FS: 1965 Omega Speedmaster 105.012 w/ Extract
Hi,
I'm pleased to offer an Omega Speedmaster Professional 105.012-64 With great dial patina and a rough but attractive bezel, this early Moonwatch has plenty of vintage character. CASE: Overall good condition with minor nicks and scuffs commensurate with age, I would guess it has seen a light polish in the past. Double step caseback is in good condition, with clear hippocampus engraving on outside, and reference number on the inside. Original flat foot crown and short/fat pushers are all in good condition. BEZEL: Dot over ninety bezel shows general wear throughout, and a spot of notable deterioration between 75 and 90. That said, it has faded to a very nice blue/grey depending on the light. DIAL AND HANDS: Stepped dial with applied metal logo and long tritium indices. Dial body color is black with a slight grey fade, and lume has taken on a dark yellow tone. Hands have similar color and retain a faint green glow at night, leading me to think that at some stage they were color matched with tritium paint. If so, skillfully done. MOVEMENT: Omega calibre 321 movement is in good working order, with no known service history. ACCESSORIES: Watch ships on a new Bulang & Sons + JPM (Jean Paul Menicucci) strap in Camel brown suede, and comes with an Extract of the Archives showing production on June 18th 1965 and delivery to the Netherland Antilles. NOTES: -I live in New Zealand where shipping is challenging, but I am travelling to the US in the beginning of October. I will be able to ship via Fedex fully insured with Parcel Pro in the first week of October. $6,850 USD shipped Wire Only. No returns unless watch is not genuine Omega. Plenty of references. Any questions please PM or grantweber AT gmail DOT com Thank you, -GW |
