5327 refresh?
My AD has a 5327 in stock, and I’ve been going back and forth on it all weekend. I wish the watch were a bit more casual. That can be partially solved with a strap. However, the reference has been going since 2016, and given Pateks releases in the past two years, I’m concerned that it’ll be given the casual lift I’m looking for in the next year or two. Does a refresh that soon seem likely? Any insights would be appreciated!

It’s pretty casual already, assuming we're talking about a G. White metal, arabics, blue dial, colored strap. |

I agree with Bob.
Like the previous generation's 5140P, the blue dial version (G this time) can look as a very nice smart casual combination with the right straps. I particularly love its 5227's case profile (without the hunter caseback). It's a great model, though it doesn't seem very successful on forums (there's a review here https://www.hightime-reviews.com/pat...-and-pictures/). As for a replacement, it's impossible to tell (some models stay a very few years, others for a long time, I guess it also depends on its success and volume produced). But yes the 5327 has been available for quite a while now (launched together with the 5230 and 5930). This being said, Patek has launched several QP alternatives (5320, 5236), so I don't know if they'll feel the "urge" to replace the 5327. And they can start with the R version, requiring to wait for the G or P versions. However, if you don't feel "ecstatic", maybe you can wait. |
