Pairing my LV

Hi everyone,

I currently have the latest generation Sub LV, and I’m looking to add another piece to my collection. I've narrowed it down to two "classic" non Rolex options: the Speedmaster Professional with a black dial or the JLC Reverso Monoface with a white dial.

I know they serve different purposes, but I believe either could pair well with my LV. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this dilemma.

Thank you!

depends on your lifestyle, if you are opting for something more dressy and you attend formal events then the JLC but if you are not then the Speedy. That being said I have never been attracted to the Speedmaster, neither the history or the chrono function means to me

Not on your list is the BLNR on jubilee - I had that pair and thinking of adding the subLV back, nothing beats it. But from your list, I would say the speedy to get a more daily wear.

Get what you like the most. I cant think of one watch I own that doesn't wear well for any occasion including my Speedmaster...

Both of your options are outstanding, both are iconic in their own right.

The Speedy will give you another professional reference with a tool watch vice. The JLC is a dressier piece. I guess maybe both is ideal

Given the two Speedmaster. If you do choose a JLC Reverso, look for a pre-Richemont model imho.

Two great options. Do you want another sport model or add something dressy?
I rarely dress up but do love Reversos.

Speedy for sure. I personally can't stand JLC's recent crazy price increases (if that doesn't bother you, then the Reverso is a nice option....).

I'd take a white Speedmaster. You do you.

I would pair with the Speedmaster, unless you really need a dress watch. My fear is you buy the JLC, then in a few months decide you really do still need another sports watch.

Also, if you are looking Reverso, consider the Duoface vs. Monoface, it’s stunning.

Took me a long time to be a speedy fan, but when I finally became one, I wondered what took me so long. I suggest getting a speedy, I went with the base hesalite simply due to being overwhelmed by the variety and all the Limited Edition this or that. You can't go wrong with any of them, but a base Speedy is always a good / rock solid addition to any collection.

Only one winner here, it’s the speedmaster. You will then have the two most iconic watches in the world.
