Lost/stolen Rolex
This occurred in San Antonio 9/24/24 around 2 pm. I noticed that the next day there was a post in which someone wrote "If I find a watch on the sidewalk is it mine" or something similar.
The answer is NO. It is NOT yours. It belongs to someone else and most times it has sentimental value like mine. My watch was given to me by my late husband in 2002. It is a Ladie's Oyster Datejust. If you found it, please give it to the police. I have reported it as "missing" and have the serial number and all pertinent identifying information. If you try to sell it, it will be flagged as a stolen item. Please save yourself the potential legal complications, show a little kindness and give it to the San Antonio Police Department. |

So are you saying that you lost your watch in San Antonio and then saw a post about someone finding one on social media?

I don't get it... how were you able to establish a connection between your lost/stolen watch and a random post about a found watch on social media?
Anyhow, this is a good place to drop the serial number. We can all help you replicate and when someone looks up the serial number, they may be able to find this thread. Best of luck to you and I'm sorry about the loss of your watch.

it's good that you report it to the authority, but most likely you won't see it again.

I don’t think the OP is trying to make a connection between the two points, but rather noticed a dirt bag comment/post that ruffled her feathers in a time of loss and is venting.
To the OP, I truly hope you find your lost watch. Also, as others have said post the serial number here so this post will appear in search results for anyone looking up the watch. |

Post your serial number publicly, such as on this forum. You have nothing to lose. Smart buyers often search for the serial numbers of watches being offered for sale, and if yours is ever listed, the buyer may come across your post and be able to trace the watch back to its rightful owner by contacting you. It’s a long shot, but it increases your chances of finding it. Also, be sure to contact Rolex and report it as stolen. This way, if it ever goes in for service, they’ll confiscate it and notify you. Good luck.
