Would you rather - Tudor or Cartier
I know they are really quite incomparable, but would you rather
Tudor 58 GMT or Cartier Santos? Forgetting 'use case' and 'how would it would fit in your collection' Which do you think you would buy now and could imagine still being glad to own in say 10, 20 years? |

Santos.
Mainly because I don't like the color choices for the 58 GMT. At all. |

Santos. It has fabulous wrist presence.
^ @-Dustin echoed my thoughts precisely. Sometimes at first glance, I can't tell the new 58 GMT from the 41 BBGMT in steel and gold (root beer) in pics. |

Santos. But if I’m being honest, Cartier basculante is what I’d want.

Cartier, more because it offers a difference aesthetic, and isn’t related to Rolex

the 'newness' factor is pulling me to Tudor
but Cartier is the more classy/timeless piece. |

Santos, it brings something truly different to the table. How many rrrrrround cases do you already have? As a wildcard, imho the H. Moser Streamliner brings something very exciting to the table.

^I agree w/ Steven. The Santos brings something a little different, especially since I already own 3 Tudors.

Santos
I absolutely love mine. It's such a comfortable watch and a more unique look than the Tudor

I am really pleased I asked this question because I have been really tempted by the Tudor, but it does seem so much more generic and boring than the Santos. Quite decisive outcome. |

Casual = Tudor. They can both do anything. I have been wearing a Pelagos FXD daily of late, and have a Santos for dressier occasions. My suggestion is to own both.

Anyway, she got the grey dial w/ grey brushed bezel, while I got the blue dial with the polished bezel. Grey + grey definitely dials down the dressiness. Swapped the bracelets this morning so I could give the grey a shot, and I'm definitely digging the grey+grey for work. Much more casual that I was anticipating. I'm a fan. |

The Santos punches above it's cost. It's very comfortable to wear and the strap change system is great too.
If you want a true tool watch and will beat it up then go Tudor but otherwise Santos. |

Would never choose a Santos ever, do not like any non round watches. So Tudor it is then.

If I was wearing the watch in a more formal or dressy situation the Santos. If I had a causal life experience more, then the Tudor.

The Santos wears great for casual as well.
It is one of my most comfortable watches!
