My Submariner
Hi.
Here is my watch. It is a 20 year old (bought May 1987) Date Submariner. I got it for my 13th birthday and it has just gone in for servicing. I am missing it already despite only being away for 4 weeks. |

It went in for a service orginally as it was losing a fair amount of time. That is all I wanted originall to be sorted out. Quote:

Very nice!
Please let us see photos of your baby when it arrives back from servicing. You could do some "before/after" pics. I'm sure you will be very pleased when it is back home safe and sound. Cheers!!!

I was going to do that anyway. They said the watch gets tested for about a week before being sent back so, it probably be another week at least.

Still no phone call to say it has come back. Does it sound strange that I am really missing a watch? My wrist doesn't feel right as it is too light.
I started having horrible thoughts that they will make the watch look worse than it did. I really hope they try to match the dial the best they can do. For some reason, I thought they would have spare matching components for each version of watch for a swap over. |

I like your watch. I know what you mean about putting it on a winder. I had purchased a winder off ebay in the $50 range and it was a quad. It also had a drawer for rings and other stuff. The thing about a winder is that it will wind your watch and also keep the dust off of it.

I haven't been wearing my watch for more than a few hours at a time for the last few days. It stopped last night. It was +14 seconds since last Saturday (6.5 days).
If it stops, how often is it best to wind it up to keep it running nice ? |

I had to take a pic of this. It hasn't been this bright for a long time since the luminous stopped.

Just taken a few more quick pics. I thought the latest White Stripes album would make a good background. Unfortunately, it doesn't look quite as nice as I have been wearing it. First pic is greyscaled as I wanted to see what it looked like.
