Is there a special type of tape to tape lugs?
I've gotten my watch scratched before letting other people do bracelet removals, so I've decided to do it myself. To start, I want to tape the lugs until I get more comfortable. Is there a tape anyone recommends either for polished or brushed metals, gold or steel? is scotch or masking fine?

I don't use it for bracelet removal, but for other uses (e.g. protecting bezels while polishing crystals), I really like gaffers tape. It is strong like duct tape, but the adhesive comes off with very little residue.
Scotch and masking tape are both very flimsy, and I suspect you could tear right through them and still scratch the watch. Electrical or duct tape would be better and you probably already have them sitting around, although harder to use and messy.

Tamiya masking tape, the yellow one.
No residues whatsoever. |

Researched this and ordered some 6 and 10 mm for myself. Thanks!
