Purchase recommendation for $15k

I have more or less $15-17k I can pull the trigger on a watch. I have had all types of Rolexes flowing through my hands back and forth

In this moment in time, I would like to get a Daytona but with my current budget, absurdly enough, it's not an option (unless you know of a good one to pull the trigger on it). I like APs too, especially Rubberclads Divers or Chrono. Needless to say, I don't have any of these available at MSRP at the moment. So it'll be DavidSW or Jacek.

Thoughts?

This suggestion above.

You already have a sports model. Don’t be like everyone else.

A nice 1675 or 16760 would be a great purchase

Buy a Tudor and an Omega and take your wife/husband/partner out for a nice vacation with the remainder.

Funny you said that because I am super tempted by the white dial Seamaster 300m AND the Pelagos LHD

It's great on the rubber.

Not too crazy about the bracelet.

You could get that and the Pilor Mark XVIII and be done. Love that IWC has micro adjust clasp similar to the SMP300.

You mentioned divers - love this limited release. Also the bluesy.

Wow great recommendation! I think it's time I seriously consider Panerais. I am Italian after all

Probably better used, Davidsw has a good bunch online right now. I will think about it!!

My vote goes to the 2 tone sub, preferably the bluesy.

What do y'all think about a Tudor Chrono? Maybe a vintage one?

The heritage chrono is nice and would save a lot of money, as far as vintage can’t go wrong there but might need to add more cash to get a nice one

You looking to buy new or used?

I would look at a 16710. You should be able to find a very nice example at that price. You can get all three bezel inserts and both bracelets which would give you a lot of diversity for a single watch

I agree and beside of the extra inserts you would be able to buy a new jubilee or oyster bracelet

126613LB is the obvious choice in this range.

Bluesy is a good choice. Or if at retail, Rootbeer.

Following this thread...I'm in somewhat of the same ballpark and I've been debating my options as well.

I'm planning on getting a sub, on the "list" for that so we'll see when that comes through but I've been looking at some of the others mentioned on this thread as well as some Grand Seiko options too.

I'm leaning towards the Omega seamaster white dial on strap and maybe a GS GMT.
Or a 16710 and the omega...

so many good options in the price range, I'm leaning towards options that get me a couple off the wishlist!

If you don't have one already how about 126610LN. You can't go wrong and have about 3K (top of your range) left to put to a nice vacation.

Buy a nice 16710 and then get all three bezels. If money left over, get a jubilee. Six watches for the price of one.

I’d recommend a Daytona 116523, the gold makes it much more luxurious than the stainless steel models with the added benefit of costing much less!
I bought a lovely example last week for £10700 from my local dealer

Buy an Explorer or a Datejust and the rest I would use on more useful and sensible things.

I should have done this much earlier.
