Hulk or Rootbeer as only watch.

Yes they are very different watches. But if you had to choose between only one, which one would you choose and why ?

Root beer. Dresses up and dresses down better. Also green doesn't work with everything

As a one only, I'd pick the LVc. The green is mesmerizing.

To those that are color blind it does. All joking aside I think the hulk or any green watch will work well with just about anything. Green is pretty versatile.

Love both, but Root Beer for sure. You can't go wrong with it's up or down dress, and the GMT complication (especially if we ever get to travel again!).

It's simple. I won't get the Hulk because it's going to be Selective with colours. So you know what'll be.

Neither as one watch. You can't dress up a LV and you can't dress down a CHNR.

I have both, and I prefer the root beer.
Green isn't easy to match with clothes. Root beer works with my skin tone.

I wore my hulk every day for the past 3 years with every possible combination of colors you can think of ... it works.

Hulk is the more fun of the two, CHNR is the classier. You just can't get enough of the hulk, the dial is amazing under any light, looks cool dressing casual, fun underwater/pool side ..etc. CHNR... classy and that's about it.

I agree... I've worn my Hulk with multiple color combos as well. It's really about being comfortable wearing the watch with such a vibrant dial/bezel. I've gotten numerous compliments on it over the years and plan to keep it for a long time. Don't get me wrong I love the Rootbeer too, but I'm more of an SS guy at heart. Wear what you want!

CHNR, if you already own it. Both are great as part of a larger collection, but not as an only watch.

CHNR will be slightly more comfortable if that’s a concern.

This is true. The GMT is a more comfortable watch on the wrist for me even with a oyster bracelet. I wouldnt have believed it until owning both GMT and Sub to compare it to. That said, a GMT on a Jubilee is not even a contest which is most comfortable as it is in another class of comfort and breath ability.

I own both and yes the GMT Chnr is more comfortable than the Sub Hulk on the wrist.

I used to own both but sold the root beer and I do really miss it but I really like the Hulk too so really tough call.... what I can say though is the CHNR is by far the nicest Rolex GMT IMHO.

Not clear why this is... both are Oyster bracelets, and I thought the case thickness was close to the same (< 1 mm).

I don't travel anymore, so I don't need a GMT.

Personally I think the Root Beer is a far better looking watch, tho.
