The A. Lange & Söhne Thread - including daily pics...
I couldn't find an A. Lange & Söhne thread for fans to show their pieces on TRF (Hopefully there isn't one already!). I love A. Lange & Söhne watches, so I thought I would start a thread and begin it with some pics of my current ALS watches and their movements...

I have a few questions for ALS experts; -How many years did Lange produce the Datograph 39mm in PT? -How many pieces were made each year? -Since when did they start making the 41mm platinum up/down? -Do you think there is a risk that they might start to be harder to find in the near future thus have a price raise for mint pieces? And last one do you prefer the Datograph in 39mm or the 41mm up/down? Of course the platinum ones Thanks guys |

That's very cool post indeed.
Ok let me tell you one thing. IMHO & 100%+, I can rank ... 1. Patek Philippe 1 AGAIN: A. Lange & Sohne IN SAME LEVEL...... Nothing follows .... Will post later some pics of my beloved AL&Ss: Zietwerk Pt, TZ Pt, DS & Referenzuhr Pt. Their watches finishing, design, movement & rarity are unbelievable.

I usually prefer the PP dial styles over Lange but that's just my humble opinion. A. Lange & Söhne decorates the movements better though Great photo's guys! |

So many of the Lange’s are off beat designs, imbalanced dials...
I prefer the pedestrian designs

The first-generation Grand Lange 1 models had overlapping subdials and never looked quite right to me. Lange redesigned them shortly after they were first introduced. I wonder if those early Grand Lange 1's fit the "golden spiral" or if they broke from it.
