Beat error question
So I’m familiar with beat error and procedure to correct it on a 3135 movement. My question is related to microstella screws. If one microstella is turned inside more than the opposite side, could that create a higher beat error? For example, watchmaker made the error of turning one microstella more in a direction (cw or ccw) vs the other side. Timegrapher shows a better timekeeping rate but higher beat error (0.9ms after adjustment vs 0.2ms pre adjustment).

I vote : Definitely No.
It will only effect the difference in rate accuracy in the vertical positions (and offcourse the average overall accuracy). |

A couple of microstella indexes of adjustment difference won't be a big deal, more than a couple will result in a larger delta, acting similar to a badly poised balance wheel. but it won't mess up your beat error. |

Will the beat error then change depending on the orientation of the watch Bas?

Beat error always changes very slightly when the orientation changes, but this wouldn't make it any more significant.
