New Explorer Rolesor collected!

I’m well aware this model hasn’t earned universal praise however I think it’s stunning. After a very short wait, I collected this from my U.K. authorised dealer today. It looks fabulous in the metal.

My first post here - the information on this forum is superb.

Congrats!

Out of curiosity, can you say more about your interactions with the AD. Were you a first time customer, how long was your wait, etc.?

Many thanks all. This is the first Rolex I have bought brand new. My 14000 Air King was pre-owned. My AD for the Explorer was absolutely superb. Didn’t state how long it would be but said allow 6-12 months. It arrived in 6 weeks. No purchase history, just registered my interest and hopefully came across as sincere.

Congrats, it looks great. I've never met an Explorer that I didn't like! Yours is a fun, sporty piece with a little 'extra' pop. Hope it brings you much watch-wearing enjoyment!

I have to say, I still wouldn't (personally) want to wear that reference, as I'm not a TT guy, but it's really growing on me aesthetically.

I have a feeling these will be insanely hot long term. Esp. if Rolex pulls the plug on them early or they have very few sales.

Perhaps a modern rendition of the uncommon, 34mm, 5700 with the "Explorer Date" dial?

Nice. In your photo the gold looks a little more matte/softer. The Rolex website makes it look kinda high gloss. Have a feeling this is going to be one that in person really wins people over.

Completely agree. Even the high res official photos have little on seeing it in the metal.

It’s a lovely watch - congrats! I have seen this in the metal and it’s gorgeous!

And, if I were you, I’d keep that AD to myself!
