does anyone have any "cheap" watches too
Well just wondering if anyone has anything cheap in comparison, and if they wear them at all?
I have a few citizens and I have a few tissots, but not sure that I can wear them anymore, I mean a multi thousand dollar watch one day and a multi hundred the next? I think that I would like to sell all the lessor ones, but I wont get much for them, is it worht it? I mean I even have acitizen aqualand from the 80's but could probalby only get less then 100$ for it, is it worht it to sell it? what are your thoughts on some less expensive pieces? |

I have a drawer full of "cheaper" watches.
Thought like you that I would get rid of them and started to advertise. After selling a Omega for $150 and couldn't get $100 for the second one I gave up and closed the drawer. |

While my Omegas and Rolex are my favorite watches, I also have numerous Seiko Divers and also a Zodiac dress watch. I love my Seiko divers and wear them often. Here are a couple. The second one down is the 6309-7040 and was made in 1978. It is 100% original and has been serviced only twice. Seiko does make really good watches.

I like my Timex Ironman and wear it sometimes for more active types of water sports . . . I know the Sea-Dweller is made for the water but I'd just as soon not have it collide with a surfboard, reef, etc.

I just bought an Invicta quartz chronograph. Wanted to see how a 44 mm wore and I was pleasantly surprised by how much quality you can get for a $50 Invicta.

I wear the Precista everyday when I get off work, I just love it (even though it gains 20 seconds a day).
I wear the CWC to mow the lawn and other unpleasant tasks.

I have a quartz Tag 2000. I don't wear it unless I'm doing something where some kind of impact is likely, like moving apartments, running, playing golf, etc.

Yes I have some cheap watches if you count watches under say $500 as cheap. Some Germans some Russians, some older Accutrons. So yes cheap watches ...cheap wine, sometimes, cheap beer never, and NO Cheap women.

I still use my "cheap" watches. Especially in my travels I would not be comfortable walking in Mumbai, or many US Big City down town areas with my rolex. So those occassions I use my citize or casio. I also think I am pack rat with regard to watches. May one day I will be abvle to let go of some of those.

I've got a pretty large Swatch collection, with 4 automatics, limited editions, and artist series Swatches. Their in a box in the closet. And a plastic F-1 Tag from the 90's, remember those?

Oh, yes. I have a Timex Ironman, various Casio G-Shocks which I've used for work, then a couple that aren't exactly cheap, but not Rolex pricey, a Citizen Minute Repeater, which is very cool, and a Seiko DJ copy that is a very nice watch and deadly accurate. Both the Seiko and Citizen were about $400 each.
My other three are my two Rollies and an SMP. I actually really like Casio digital watches. Very rugged and accurate, and affordable too. |
