Thanks, Padi, but is that a quartz or auto? And what does that Titanium on the dial mean?

Thanks - JJ

It says titanium on the dial... is the case polished? I like it but if the hands and makers were white metal or blue, I'd like it even more.

Calibre-8F56, Quartz they are normaly on a Titanium bracelet, never seen one on leather, but they did do some with mechanical movements.

I like it. It could loose some of the words on the dial though. A perpetual calendar in a mechanical watch is an extraordinary feat. To say the least. Leap years, the number of days in all months correct, etc. If they pulled that off they show just how good they can be. Seiko ranks among the top watch makers.

That's why I have one! Now I have two, fully in-house manufacture watches.

8F movement (actually do not think you can call it a movement for quartz, they call it a moduale or something) is a great one. High frequency 196khz quartz crystal not the standard 32 khz and accurate to +/- 20 sec a year.

But I opted for the seiko spirit because on the watch pictured, the top crown is not screwed down. When I saw it in the store if you bump it, it will adjust the hand. Very bad design if you ask me.

They are only Japan only watches. And good prices. Retails for over $400USD but can be had for $350 or less with the current exchange rate.
