******YOU must read this******
Welcome to the Rolex WatchTech forum
This is the place to discuss and learn about the more technical (horological) aspects of Rolex watches. As always the intention of the forum is for it to be fun and friendly but to have a primary focus upon the horological aspects of Rolex Watchmaking, their repair and servicing. To start off we have the great honour and pleasure of receiving the invaluable skill and experience of 3 extremely well qualified "TechXperts" in providing their input (where possible) in technical matters (in alphabetical order): BobRidley, Dalton, Rikki and Vanessa with hopefully more to be announced. NOTE: 1. The TechExperts sacrafice their own free time to participate and do so out of their love for horology, Rolex and the forum, so they should be treated with kindness. 2. All material, advice, tips, suggestions and/or comments are made without any responsibility whatsoever and no such material should be relied upon by any member or viewer unless they themselves are prepared to accept full responsibility for any loss or damage howsoever arising or occurring and agree to hold all other members, TechXperts and the forum fully and unconditionally blameless. 3. Do not attempt to try working on your own watch/es unless you fully know what you are doing and are prepared to accept the full consequences of your actions, which in the case of Rolex watches may be very expensive.

Thank Cody, hopefully over time we can have case studies, and maybe even a lesson or two on a watchmaking technique or procedure.
In that way it is hoped that this will be a ground breaking new forum for stimulating discussion and learning. At this stage we will just play it by ear and see where it can take us.......up, up and awwwaaaaayyyy

If they want to use any of my watches that need service as an example of what is done, I am more than happy to let them demonstrate their profession...all I ask I that get my watches back in a reasonable time frame. I am more than happy to pay for the shipping and reasonable costs involved.
