AP House NYC

I scheduled an appointment at AP House next time I'm up in New York in August and was wondering how people's experiences have been there. From what I read it seems pretty good and at the minimum cool to see everything. Looking to pick up a 37mm gray RO ideally at some point from the boutique but not super rushed but figured I'd go in when I'm up there to see.

my experience was good. I made an appointment via email. nice space just unfortunate that there was not much to try on - only a code and ROO. I was there last year in may when they just openend. but cool to see the museum pieces.

Later in the year they had many more pieces to try on (but nothing super-rare) - various ROs, ROCs, Diver, couple of ROOs. Surprisingly, not many Codes, as far as I can recall. Really nice space, and good to talk with the staff. I didn't ask about availability (working with a different boutique), so can't comment on likelihood of allocations.

That's good to know! It seems like a cool place just to see the different models. Not in a particular rush with getting any allocations but figured I'd start the process up somewhere.

The team at AP House NY is fantastic - from the greeting staff, to the gentleman making & serving drinks, to the director and sales staff, all of them are super welcoming, knowledgeable, and just all around a great group of people to hang out with.

The museum pieces are nice, and as of a couple of months ago they had a pretty wide range of pieces to try on (RO’s in various sizes, ROO’s, codes) - nothing ultra rare though (no ceramics, PC’s, etc). But they do have a cool star wheel code table clock that you can play with!

I can’t speak to allocations generally, but I’ve personally been very fortunate so far - best advice is to be honest about what you’re looking for, and take it from there. Let us know how it goes!

Fantastic experience when I went last year. The whole team was welcoming. You really feel as if you’re at someone’s house - which is what AP wants to accomplish. This is how any luxury shopping experience should really be.

Was there for about 3 hours just talking about watch collecting, cigars, travelling etc… was never felt rushed at all.
