Second Rolex

Hi everyone,
FYI, I bought my first Rolex back in June…a 2017 Bluesy Sub, which I love. I was just curious to know, on average how long did most owners wait to buy their next Rolex. Thanks all!

So many answers and timeframes. Pretty much depends on your budget. Sounds like you want another one, get it.

I got my first in April 2019 and got the itch, 7 months later I got my second. Like mentioned above, it also depends on your budget.

Got my first August last year, & my third in April this year. So three in nine months.

All from the same AD.

I went two years between Rolexes.

I went about three months until my next watch (a GS I believe).

Thanks, all. Wow, For those of you who were able to purchase additional watches fairly soon after your first from your AD….I assume the wait was much shorter than it is currently?

The time between your first and second will get perpetually shorter the longer you’re on the forum LOL

100% true, probably would have never purchased another if I didn't join this forum, not sure if that is good or bad

I purchased my first Rolex in 1983. Gave it to my son in 2019 at the same time I purchased my second ROlex. Only took 26 years to purchase my second. Then it was about 18 months to purchase my third!

$$$, whenever I can? Starting in the 80’s I have bought a few here and there. Budget permitting. Along with some others.

Seems like you have the itch again, go for it! Never a bad time if you can.

Cheers,

A few years in between. In my opinion, it’s more meaningful when it happens organically, rather than rushing to the next one just to tick off another from the list for the sake of building a “collection.”

I bought my first in 1992. I waited about 15 years to but another one.

Then … I stumbled across this forum and all hell broke loose

Bought a new 114060 from an AD in 2015. And then I bought a pre-owned 16600 3 years later because I had always wanted that model when I was younger.

Ha Ha, I went about 30 years.

I bought my first one Sub Date at 23, then marriage, family, 2 kids, few houses, cars, college tuition, etc., all happened. During that time I happily wore my sub and a few Timex iron man watches. Then all of a sudden I had disposable income again, and treated myself to about 5 different Rolex models, I now have a total of 3, funny still wear the Sub the most as I am still mostly just a one watch person...

2 years between first and second... then 2 weeks between 2nd and 3rd, 4th was 18 months after that.

I don't think there's any right or wrong in any instance - I think the most important factor isn't about my timeline, more what the AD brings to my attention
