...MERCY sakes...
...it is over $8K already for a TUDOR Chrony.
...wonder if the buyers KNOW that it is a TUDOR as opposed to it's big brother??? Stan. |

The ones I've seen have been about $3500-4500 USD.

1984 Tudor chronos for $3500...where? I think you have this watch confused with the newer Tudor chronos. This circa 1984 chrono in virgin condition as it is, with box, booklets and warranty paper is a very, rare. Chris (the seller) is a topnotch seller so I say this will definately hit $10,000. I haven't seen a package like this for several years, whether on, or off, ebay. Very high quality, rare package!!!!

This seller is one of the finest on E-Bay. I have him in my favorites and look often at what he has for sale. SSSSSSHHHHHHH! Don't tell anybody that though.

To Tudor experts: should those Tiger chronos on the seeler's list use Rolex crowns, or are just some kind of "pushing prices up" strategy?

The Rolex coronets on the band and coronet are correct for the one in this auction. The Rolex coronet on the Tudor chronos winding crown was replaced by the shield around 1998, and the band clasp was replaced with the shield much earlier than that. I don't know specifically if this followed the complete line of Tudor watches, but Tudorman might be able to help out with more info if you PM him. By the way, the watch being discussed from this auction is not a Tiger chrono, they came much later than 1984.

I love that watch. I think it kicks butt. All the unused novelty toys of a daytona plus the very functional date display. Very nice indeed.
