First Rolex 16014 champagne dial
Hi again,
So recently I posted about a 1601 sigma which I was planning to buy as first watch, unfortunately I was just to late as someone already bought it. However I managed to find another watch from a private seller, it's a beautiful champagne color dial with nice patina on it and in decent condition my first thread was about me buying an other 16014 which I thought the dial was real but questioned later, with this one im pretty confident that its all original. Serial starts with 6708, came with an AD service card which dates to 2014 as last service with invoice of service and crystal change and some other minor things. Passed waterproof test few days ago (no im not gonna put it under water) made one little mistake the watch was to small for my wrist and he had 2 links included in the deal so he asked me if he should screw those on but this was after I inspected the watch lol so when he put the 2 links on I didn't double check it, came home to find out those 2 links where fake. It literally had some goldish color on the backside LOL some kind of shitty brass while the front side was silver, lucky for me a nearby jeweler had a few links left for my type bracelet, 90 euro for a tiny piece of steel but I had hear horror stories before with aftermarket links and I had no patience with delivery time so swapped the fake one with the real deal. What do you think? Am I all gen finally? |

Looks like a nice classic, silver dial DJ, not champagne, late '70s-early 80s with what appears to be a correctly date-coded bracelet and correct date wheel. It should have open 6s and 9s. Nice matching dial/hands tritium patina. Congrats.

Looks good - little observation, the footers of this era, the T in T SWISS T line up regimentally with the 29/31 minute marker.
