Icon5 What Rolex would you want for a one watch collection

Hello everyone,

I have been buying and following Rolex for almost twenty years. During the pandemic, I have been working from home and not wearing any watches very often. I put my BLRO on yesterday and realized that if that was my only watch, I would be fine.

Do you have a favorite one watch?

I'd be fine with my black dial 116500.

16600 or a 5 digit GMT. Maybe an Explorer II. Possibly a DJ41. Really anything in the current Rolex lineup can be used perfectly as a one and only.

I have it, 39mm Explorer with lume on the numbers. It was my first Rolex, and a grail. That said, after I got the one and only I proceeded to get another last year. I’m now looking for a third.

I agree. My 39mm Explorer is the favorite, but it's hard to imagine being without my other...the Submariner. The higher end watches from Rolex are nice but I don't really lust after a Daytona (maybe a pre ceramic white ...520 at some point) and have no interest in anything with a cyclops

No date sub or black Daytona.

Or Platona non diamond.

Or...a 3 watch collection.

Goes w/ everything…

But on days when I’m sane I would probably go w/ the 124060.

One watch is a possession, more than one watch is a collection.
