FS: Rolex Daytona cal 6239 - 1.4M serial

For sale is an extraordinary piece of history in this circa 1965 Rolex Cosmograph Daytona cal 6239 serial 1,4xx,xxx. It is being sold by the original owner, purchased from an Authorized Dealer. It has not been worn for most of its life. It is in perfect mechanical condition and was recently serviced by an authorized Rolex service center.

Everything is original except the crystal which was replaced once a number of years ago. All work done on this watch has been done by Rolex authorized watchmakers. The bracelet has one link that is "sprung" (see pictures), which could be fixed by a watchmaker if desired.

The movement, including all chronograph features, functions as it should and keeps great time. This watch does not come with the box or original papers.
