It's coming...The Breitling website just released an ad for it. Expect April 24 to be the unveiling.

Can't wait to see what it looks like. If only they would make it an automatic movement with only the transmitter battery operated.

I'm surprised they didn't get Travolta to act this one out.

New video this morning. I wonder if the watch you can see both climbers wearing is the new emergency.

By looking at the watch on the climbers wrist in the second vid it certainly does look large.

Like all the SuperQuartz movements, expect accuracy to be within .07 seconds/day. About 10 times more accurate than a normal quartz movement thanks to the extra board that incorporates Thermal Compensation.

There will be other dial colors (i.e. yellow, orange, etc.) as well as black titanium and regular titanium models. Black titanium probably will be limited in numbers.

Hmmm... Interesting!

I had a notion to buy the old model since I actually like the idea of it when I'm in the mountains so, unlike a lot of people who might buy it, looks are of secondary importance to me. That said, I quite like the look of this... It looks as under the radar as a watch of this size could. I normally loath big watches but this has a real reason to be on the big side, not just a tiny movement engulfed in half a tonne of metal!

I'll be very interested in the tech-specs of this watch and, of course, the price point...

According to someone who knows it's around 47-48 and not 50mm (I however cannot confirm but it's reliable).

BTW that's the 'black steel model'-there is also a regular titanium model. Price is expected to be around 10-12k.

Expect to see a lot of black steel limited models in the coming year. Emails should be sent about the launch to all emergency owners within the next week regarding the launch. Dunno about the size, but I have a VERY reliable source that says 51mm.

Clever videos.

Anything over 45mm is a deal killer. The days of giantly oversized watches are coming to and end. I like the idea of an all black Emergency2 - the digital display and all. A real tool watch. But it needs to be waterproof to 100m this time. Oh well, forget it all if it is 51mm...

Agreed, 45mm was too big on my Emergency Mission. 51 is silly.
