I know a lot of you hate it but I have to have one. I have been going back and forth on other watches but now I am leaning heavily toward Rolex.

Point me in the right direction to have it done or if you have one for sale would be even better!

I am leaning on a sea dweller or the deep sea. Would be curious what a brown strap would look like on it as well.

Anyone care to share photos of their PVD Rolex?

The only places I'm familiar with are Bamford and Project X Designs. I hear they can get really pricey. I believe there was a member here recently who had his SD done but can't remember where? Make sure you post some pics!!

Mine is a daily wearer, too. Well, certainly weekly. And has been for 3 years.

PVD/DLC GMT-II. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. And although he'll deny he said so, my AD loves it, too. In fact, he's getting one for his son.

All used bamfords I've seen are in bad shape.
The PVD isn't bulletproof.

I saw one live here at a meeting last week. Blacked out Daytona. Have to admit it looked really cool.

On a younger cool Japanese guy.

I think there is a Japanese company that specializes in doing it. Not for me as a purist but it does look cool.

Looks great! This is the way to PVD a Rolex, IMO. I am not a fan of the modded dials on the Blaken or Bamfords and wish they wouldn't put their name/logo on the there.

I've often wondered about picking up a beater and doing that as well. However, it's a bit cost prohibitive these days as a "beater" 16600 would cost almost as much as a new Sub!

Jason's SD is by far my favorite, always has been. I did see something else that I liked, though. Time and Gems has a GMT mod that looks great. IMHO, worn on a black NATO, it'd be the ultimate international travel, under-the-radar, is it safe to wear-NO! watch. As Jason points out, it's much cheaper to DIY.

I was using google to check out some pvd watches Jason and yours popped up. Yours is the one that sent me over the edge and now I must have one!

nice - i think this type of treatment works much better on a brushed finish (to give more of a matte look) than something that has a lot more polish to it like some of the pictured Milgauss, gmt-c, etc.

Agreed, I am looking to pick up a seadweller as we speak. Hoping to get a newer model with no holes case.

By the way the yacht hands look great on it!

I have to admit, Jason......although I would probably never do it, nor purchase one, your Seadweller looks REALLY cool! I'm assuming it gets a fair amount of wrist time and it looks perfect!

I actually had Jack bead-blast the case to give it a nice matte finish before the PVD treatment. I agree.....I don't care for the polished finish before PVD as much.

Thanks. Yes, I was actually wearing it today on the black NATO. It gets more wrist time than many of my others
