Fake. A good one, to some extent, but a fake.
6241 is the Paul Newman Daytona, which looks nothing like that one. It was also non COSC. The one in the picture on the bay is more along the lines of 5634. However, the words "Units Per Hour" should be marked at 3 O'Clock and not at 1 o'clock. It should also have screw in pushers, which the one on the bay does not. And... yeah... it should be 80k and up. Not 8000. Also... the seller states "Aftermarket case". That should tell you everything you need to know. I am in no way a Rolex expert, Mike would be the one to rely on when it comes to vintage, but even with my limited knowledge on the subject those were things that stood out for me. One last thing that I just noticed.... you can clearly see in the pictures that the bezel rotates!! Tach bezels are fixed.

I have seen several of these examples lately, and that scares me.I would not buy one of these right now as you might find out in a few months that these where in fact modern movements altered into looking like "vintage" movements and you would have lost a considerable sum on your investment.

Did Rolex ever use a Valjoux R 727 movement in the DT?
Oh, and no Paypal accepted. Run, do not walk, away from this scam.
