Panda Tudor
Ok so I have been having an itch for a panda chrono (black false light color subdials) . At the VRF + Hodinkee meetup on Monday I was explaining to David I think I'm a little stocky to pull off a vintage Daytona. I'm the one in the second to last pic he posted checking out Jaceks 1680 red lol. So I ordered a pre tiger Tudor. I'm curious has anyone else gone this route? If you did how do you like it?
Any thoughts from anyone would rock! Now let me start off by saying another benefit to this route was the obvious cost savings. And honestly I've been bit by the Daytona bug hard. I'm really digging the patrizzi dial Zeniths. I think that's my next target.

Always preferred the Tudor chronographs to the Daytona. Nothing against the Daytona, great looking iconic watch. But you can't beat the dial, bezel, and bracelet options. Then there's the date feature as well as rotating bezel (in my case). Plus a great value!

The old "big block" chronos are great watches. I've owned a couple of them through the years but this circa 1980, model 94200, has remained with me since I acquired it several years ago.

Gorgeous watches everyone! John your panda is gorgeous!!
That was the look I was going for. I didn't find one as old ( which is what I wanted) but for now I found a pre tiger prince date. From about 97 I think. Ill post pics later on. Thanks everyone for chiming in.

I love my big-block! It looks classic and rugged particularly on NATO (and has date!)

Hey guys
Ok so here we go here's some quick shots. First impressions are I love it. Right out of the gate which is unusual lol. I mean bang for the buck on this for me is off the charts. The condition of it is just awesome I'm so happy. I didn't capture it but it has Rolex Crown so another plus for me. Let me know what you guys think....

I think this is the best color and bezel combination. And unlike most people here I, too prefer the Prince Date over the BB because I find the shape more elegant, But then again, I am bias. photobla.jpg photopostedweb.jpg |

Well done, Frank.
Imho, the Big Blocks, Pre Tigers, & Tigers will continue to climb in value over the years. Not a reason to buy necessarily but another nice bonus to an already great value. dP

Thanks Justin
And totally agree Dan I don't see them going down especially with climbing Daytona prices. Thanks for your replies guys!
