Number III? I'm beginning to wonder about you, Tim.

Anyway, just wanted to wish Caitlin a happy fathers day.

Am I the only one that finds these Bruce Jenner jokes mostly inane and not particularly funny?

Don't click on them. They are clearly labeled as to what they are.

Nobody expects that every joke will please everybody.

Yep.

On the forum that's supposed to be welcoming and open to all, devoting several threads to ridiculing a transgender person for being transgender is lame.

I doubt there are many children on TRF so you must be referring to maturity level. I resemble that remark! I prefer to think of myself as young at heart and hope I never get too "mature" to laugh at a well timed and executed fart. Hey, pull my finger.

All kidding aside, none of these great moments in American cinema did anything for you?

Sorry, Sport. I can quote most of every Marx Brothers movie. Can tell you the title and plot of every Curly 3 Stooge (only about half dozen Shemps were worthy, and non of the Joe Besser or Dorito), consider Blazing Saddles the greatest comedy of them all. But fart jokes (even the most famous one from Blazing) are just not clever.

And the Jenner jokes are not clever, or witty. I tune in to this forum almost entirely to read the jokes. I miss the JJ days. This thread is already old.

Fair enough, old chap. Humor, like taste in watches, is an individual thing.

As for the Jenner situation, it's not the ridiculing of a sexual preference that is funny to me. What I find humorous about the whole thing is the obviously undesired (by them) turn of events for a family that has done nothing but encourage, cultivate and exploit a media circus around their lives and have made hundreds of millions of dollars doing it. And I'm confident they will exploit this too.

But we do agree, this thread has grown old.
