TT Blusey vs TT Rootbeer

Im thinking to pick up one of these from an AD or DavidSW. If you could only pick one which would it be and why? P.S Even though im pretty young I think I could pull off two tone since im mostly business casual. Thanks in advance!

I'd be tempted to get the CHNR.

The 126711CHNR because of the warmer, more calming colour scheme.

I like the CHNR very much. The brown works much better in the metal than I expected. But the Blusey is my favourite. I've been where you are and cogitated upon what you are cogitating. My Blusey has just arrived at the AD.

I'd vote for the bluesy, the dial will have more pop

Definitely the bluesy. It's a classic, I love mine. Glidelock clasp and sunburst dial put it over the edge for me.

I have owned both (Bluesy 18 years) and currently own the CHNR. IMO...the CHNR with Rolex’s Everose is in its own league but it also cost quite a bit more $$. Leaving personal taste aside, the CHNR has the new case and movement that is also a major advantage. I have owned my CHNR for 3 weeks now and from its general response in the wild it has gotten noticed more than any other watch I have owned. You must see the Everose in person and this will all make sense as pics don’t capture how rich it looks. There is a cool swagger to it that gets noticed without looking like it’s trying. The Bluesy is more in-you-face flashy. There is no bad choice as nothing else out there looks like either watches.

If you can get the CHNR at an AD, by all means do that. It's much more difficult to source than the bluesy (in my area at least. This may vary from region to region.)

Now, comparing watch to watch...that's a tough one. My thought would be to go TT with the CHNR and full 18k with the bluesy for the win. Just my thoughts, YMMV.

^^ agree. All yellow gold tones down the blue sunburst dial. TT with Everose contrasts the entire package perfectly.

I own the Bluesy and have tried on the CHNR.
Both are beautiful but I am a blue guy and the Bluesy calls me way more.

Bluesy, not even close. Long established history of awesome. CHNR may be cute to some, but I think its a fad with no staying power long term.

Ok, IMHO
A 613LB variant has been around since approx 1988

According to three ADs I have a relationship with the previous root beer was overall not a hot mover for any of them.

Given, by comparison (to blues, blacks, whites), not really a lot of browns happening in the watch world. Which tells me other marketing research doesn’t point to brown being a hot color. Yes, for sure that is an assumption.

When the Tudor bronze was released they were tough to get, now they are plentiful, seems like the demand was fulfilled by a relatively small subset of WISer types.

Again, just my opinions.

Brown is my favorite color but a blue TT Sub is gorgeous.

brooklynfanatic you really do have a dilemma on your hands! All I can say is I did let my Ceramic Bluesy go prior to getting the CHNR which is a gorgeous piece. However I hadn’t realised how much I would miss the Bluesy.Fortunately my Dealer was able to source me a replacement and now I’m in the very privileged position of owning the two most outstanding watches in the Rolex lineup and both icons.

I went with the bluesy since I wear a lot of blue plus the subs have the glide lock.

Both are great looking watches. It is not just colors but also a Sub vs GMT. I really like the glide lock so that would factor into the decision. GMT wears a little flatter on the wrist and some think is more comfortable.
I wear a lot of blue so a Sub LB has been in the stable a long time. I do like the CHNR a lot though. Really cannot go wrong with either.
