FS: 1970 Rolex Submariner ref.1680 w/ Red Dial
FS: 1970 Rolex Submariner ref.1680 w/ Red Dial
The 1680 red-letter Submariner is one of the most sought after watches in the collector’s world for many reasons. It introduced the date complication to the range; it was the last reference with the acrylic crystal and was only produced for a decade until 1979. Of that decade, the red Submariner line was only available for the first half, making the dial relatively scarce. S/N: 2.7mil - (1970) Case: Excellent case which has just returned from being polished. Comes with a long 5, fat font bezel insert which has lightly faded and has slight wear from use. Inner caseback is stamped: 1680 IV 70. Serial and reference numbers are crisp and well defined. Dial: Excellent Red Submariner dial with warm yellow markers. Hands have aged a shade lighter than the dial. Bracelet: Very good 93150 bracelet with 10 links and 580 end links. Some scratches on bracelet. Accessories: None Item Number: 117168 PRICE: $27,945 ~ 3 Day Inspection Period for U.S. Buyers Macros available upon request P.S. please reference the item number when inquiring about the watch. Please feel free to contact me at (949) 391-9002 or email me at paul.altieri.watches@gmail.com with any questions, etc. ~ Watch is located in Southern California USA ~ Many worldwide references readily available upon request. Thanks, Paul Altieri |
