How do you like your 5740/1G?

Been offered one and have heard great things about it. I like the aesthetics and hear it's surprisingly thin and wears amazingly well. Piece is not local so can't try it on prior. Would be the first PP of the collection. Appreciate the input.

thx

That would be a great way to start, congrats

but IMO I'm not a fan, the dial is too busy for me,

My friend has this watch, it’s a lovely watch but very small on anyone with 7”+ wrists. It would look very discreet with a suit. When I tried it on I was wearing t shirt & jeans and my wife said it looked ridiculous on me due to the small size. It wears nothing like a 15407.

It's the same size as a 5711/5712, almost to the tenth. So those are too small too on anyone with a 7"+ wrist? Look, we get it. Anything smaller than a 44mm ROO is too small for us. Cool.

I'll take it off your hands at msrp.

Oh wait, I have a 7" wrist, guess it will look "ridiculous" on me as well.

It is an amazing watch. The colour of the dial is same as 5711/1P. In terms of thickness it stands in between the 5711 and 5712 but have a significant wrist presence due to the weight of the watch.

It could ruin your interest in any other watch (ok maybe still like Grand Comps).

If someone offers it to you buy it. :)
That said. I prefer the 5712. But no one said you can’t have more than 1 nautilus

Definitely one of the three best Nautilus watches ever made... 3700, 5711, and 5740.

Retail prices? If I could get this at retail I'd buy it for sure, fantastic piece. As it is not paying 1.6m HKD plus for it would prefer a 5270p.

I love it. It appeals to my cardinal rule of having an aesthetically pleasing dial layout.

I do not think that the dial is the same colour as the 5711p but I will check

Ended up trying one on and decided against it. It was nice but just didn't love it and for me that's a requirement, especially at this price range. The search continues.
