Would you do this trade

Daytona C Black for a SD43 and Explorer II 42 black.

Been tossing around the idea.

Thanks!

Go for it! IMHO, the Daytona is not a watch worth all the hype

I like each of those watches better than the Daytona. Depends whether, all frenzied hype aside, you do too.

to me as long as the value is aligned I don't really see the issue, especially with SS Sports watches.

We all seem to agree (preach) we don't do this for the appreciation. We do this for the love of the watch. Get the watch(es) you love. Depending on the conditions, the values seem about right, so if you've lost love, make a move!

If you’re tossing around the idea that means you’ve likely fallen out of love with the Daytona. From a value perspective it adds up, so if you’d rather have the SD and the Exp I’d make the move.

Thanks guys, I just feel incredibly lucky to have gotten the Daytona at retail and don’t want to regret giving it up down the line since I probably wouldn’t get another one again. Its just I feel like the SD43 would be more of a daily wear and look better on my 7.5” wrist.

Then do it! Value wise if you regretted it down the line you could sell both pieces and then buy a Daytona again.

That’s a fair point, I wouldn’t rush into making the trade. Maybe put the Daytona away for 1-2 weeks and then pull it out and see how you feel about it? You may be excited to put it back on or realize that you’d be happier with the Trade.

And since you mentioned sporting the SD43 as your daily I wanted to mention that I did that for just over a year. Proportion wise and case size is perfect and the bracelet balances the heft of the watch really well. The thing I had a hard time with specifically as a daily watch was the thickness of the caseback. That said, you’ll have the Exp too so you could wear it in rotation.

If the Daytona is too small for you, this is a great deal for both of you.

I would do it for sure. I have the SD43 and it’s a great watch especially for 7.5” wrist.

8" wrist here and I'd do that deal in second.

I've never tried or even seen a Ceramic Daytona in the flesh but I have tried some PM references. Its beautiful but its a tiny little watch.

I would personally keep the Daytona, but do what makes you smile when you check the time.

Is it a straight trade? Any cash needed?

Full, crisp sets for all watches?
