Does this hand look real?
Hi everyone,
I am new to watch collecting and posting new here! I bought an Explorer II 16570 about 3 months ago and only recently realised that the lollipop hand for the second is not 'filled' in the circle. I've researched this on other models and I have never seen the circle to be empty. I am beginning to get worried about weather this is a genuine seconds hand. Should I be worried? Would appreciate any advice I can get on here Seasons best wishes |

The lume has fallen out of the seconds hand. Look around inside the dial to see if it is there and putting your movement at risk if it gets inside.

Thanks, the lume is not in the dial. The movement is running fine. I guess the only way to know if it has migrated to the movement would be to get it assessed by a watchmaker right? How can the lume get into the movement, i cant see any gaps in the dial

So i guess i'm gonna need to get it checked out with a watchmaker. They will probable charge to strip the whole thing down to find the lume. Oh man

The lume may not cause any issues at all, or it may have been gone when you bought the watch.
Either have it serviced now, which would also entail a new hand or handset, or wait until you see an issue.

thank you everyone. I am going to put this on a timeographer and see what it shows. Does anyone know the best rate of the 16570?
