My 2 Outcasts

These two might be my favorite watches right now and the interesting part is how they’re both Rolex outcasts. I guess I’m bucking the system! I think it’s just the funkiness of both. They’re unique and different. Lots of fun to wear. If you’ve been shy about either of these I’d consider you to give them a try!

Hey,

These are two of my absolute favourites. Nice to see there are those like minded too.
I think they're both bad ass, and the fact you have both is excellent.

Good work. Have a good weekend.

Love the SD! Seen one in the window of my local AD a few weeks ago. Wish I had tried it on now.

The Airking isn’t for me though. I would much rather have an explorer

Is the SD43 an outcast? I always thought it seemed pretty well loved here.

Outcasts? How? Why? When?

Are they banned from reentering Switzerland?

Have to agree a Rolex is still a Rolex no matter the model.

Haha just using a little satire. Of course they’re everything any other rolex is. Just not nearly as adored by the general forum public as the hot sports models. And actually what I love about these pieces are the unique qualities only found on these models which make them interesting and fun!

You’re going to love it! I heard they could be discontinued. But who knows!

Got the AK in 2018 from AD with small discount. Enjoyed this piece in my collection especially of the unique dial design with rich history and it is the first AK in 40mm. It is not the regular sub or gmt therefore it really stand out. The daytonas were unwanted in 60s but it has become the most sought after watch in last 5 years. Once this model is discontinued, its true value shall eventually evolve.
I love the SD43 but its case is too thick for my wrist.

I was expecting to scroll down & see a milgauss (which I like). Black & gold SD is an outcast I like too.

It’s a very misunderstood watch. But if you break down it’s history with the Bloodhound project it makes perfect sense.

This. That AK is like a carnival of cacophony. But I’m starting to respect because you don’t see it much.

I think they are great watches you can actually get without too much wait or secondary market premium.

The TT is not an outcast, I think a TT sub is way more appealing than an SS, my friend has this one and a bluesy and they are Fire

Agree with others. Nothing outcast about either of them. The AK has its followers and the SD43 is plenty popular.

Some purists don’t think any “tool” watch should have precious metal but thats just a small vocal minority. Until Rolex builds an all PM SD43 or DSSD, the TT SD43 is king of the deep!
