Help needed with Beach Daytona
Dear friends, can anyone pls help me with verifying a Beach Daytona? I tried to ask local collectors but all seem not able to give a definite answer.
I want to buy a Beach Daytona but have the following concerns whether dial was swapped into a normal 116519 instead of being an original Beach. Reasons being, the said watch is M series dated 2008. I have not seen any so new into the series. All i have come across have punched papers and lizard skin box. This watch has credit card papers and normal box. However, seller claims watch was purchased from reputable dealer. Also, there is a special booklet with photo of a Beach Daytona on it. Will appreciate some help from this wonderful community before i make a firm offer on this. The aftermarket diamond end links and bezel will be swapped out with the original before dealing. Looking forward to your valuable inputs. Thanks guys!!! Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk |

Had never heard of a “beach” Daytona to be honest.

I don't believe the Daytona beach series ever came with diamond bezel and diamond end links, so that has to be after market. The dial also look a bit darker than the original daytona beach series.

It was a limited edition series of Daytona's in blue, pink, green and yellow.
I do not know enough about them to help OP with his question unfortunately... |

My money would be on a real Daytona Beach with aftermarket diamonds. It even has the correct unlumed hands.

Bro. Your best bet is to check with Rolex Center HQ at Orchard, with the serial no of the watch, they are able to tell you the original dial configuration when the watch was being sold at the AD.

The boxes are hard to find and go for a good chunk of money also. The correct hands are a good sign

I do not believe that is a factory set model. Caveat emptor.
I believe those diamonds are added. Man oh man, I sure do like those beach models. I would love to start collecting a set. |

I have to echo that the diamond are prob not original. I am one of the few I think that actually liked the beach Daytona...however, call it patina or whatever the straps look like hell to me as they aged...

Yes. The endlinks and bezel are aftermarket. They will be swapped out with the original upon purchase.
Let me check if RSC in Singapore is willing to disclose the configuration of the dial when sold at AD. The probability is low on this i feel. They most likely will only verify if watch/parts are genuine. No harm trying as suggested though. If someone do come across a beach Daytona as new as a M series, pls let me know. Will truly appreciate it. Thank you once again for the comments and suggestions. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk |

The "Beach" or ladies Daytona was introduced around 2000. I'm fairly confident the watch was only available in 18K white gold (no diamonds or extra bling) with matching exotic skin strap. It was produced only a few years (poor seller), so a 2008 production date is unlikely. These watches were sold with pastel colored matching boxes unique to the "Beach" Daytona.

I supposed the only way is to confirm with RSC. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk |
