Rolex Hulk - need help on this one

I need some help from you guys. I got my hands on a Rolex Hulk, but no papers or box. I am pretty certain it is a real one, but maybe you see something. The watch weighs 154gr, lume is great and the ticking sound is somehow identical with my Submariner

If anyone needs a specific picture from an angle, just shout please. I can pick this one up for 4k euros, but without box or papers.

Sounds incredibly cheap, even without B&P.

I have concerns about the authenticity of that watch. In more ways than one.

The point of the response is not to be helpful to fraudsters minting fakes.

Finalised as far as I'm concerned. Stupid price. Stupid grandpa. Stupid friend. Three stupids. And bad etching.

Ooooh, got ya so it’s just this magic select few that can spot them and no one else is allowed to know what to look for cause fakers need their super secret knowledge help to make fakes. Haha. Makes since. So a forum to learn is stoped by this? Dumb?!

No just a personal choice. Many others have posted the tells they look for. Focus on those if that’s the info you seek.

There are also YouTube videos and blog posts across the web. Lots of info out there.

I believe it is actually a rule of RolexForum that we don’t discuss specifics of fake watches. Not sure how well enforced it is, but I do believe it is for the reason mentioned - not giving advice to fakers looking to perfect their “craft.” Seems pretty logical. We’re constantly navigating through fraudsters and fake watches in our hobby. Why provide the “bad guys” more ammo?

As far as this watch, I am about as far from an expert as one can get, and I would bet a decent sum of money that bezel is not genuine. Per the above, I won’t mention why, but there are two characteristics of the bezel markings that jump out to me. There is also a potential issue with the dial and the rehaut that would not be typical of a genuine Rolex.

Given those items,, and the backstory, my money would be on the whole watch being fake.

The color and quality of the ceramic insert looks inferior to genuine Rolex.
Are you happy now? Your "stupidity" statement just proves your ignorance.

Another point to agree with. Compare the OTs insert (first pic) to my insert (2nd pic). Note the difference in "thickness" of the number 10 and the one-minute-index markers, as well as the marker at minute 15. Even accounting for the different picture sizes, they look significantly "fatter" in mine. Also, the numbers and index markers seem to extend further out to the edge of the bezel, while mine are more centered on the insert between the inner and outer edge of the bezel. Well visible at the 5-minute marker and the number "10". Lastly, quite a difference in color, or is that just the difference in surrounding light and the angle of the photo?

Bracelet to case fitting. Finish on the winding crown. Applied white gold indices are dull and lifeless. It goes on.

There are really good fakes out there where it’s almost impossible to verify through pics. 4000 euros seems questionable. Unless it’s from a reputable seller, I recommend passing.

Agree, unless there is something really obvious, opening up the watch is the only way.

Bezel color looks off to me but could be the lighting.

It's not enough.

Might prove it has a genuine Rolex movement, but not necessary a Hulk. It's starting to get pretty common for some to swap out standard bezels and dials of genuine subs for those of unicorns, either to save money or to command a better price.

Only way is to ask Rolex to confirm what it was delivered with originally...

SOoO many watches, SOoO little time...

Sounds too low a price to be true....as others have said, if it sounds too good, stick with your gut feeling.

hard to say from these photos alone. If you know the seller then you should buy it.. Send to Rolex for service and have it cleaned up. Now you have some paperwork .
