Wrist swelling photos

First two photos are last night and the second two are this morning.

Anyone else have trouble with their wrist swelling this much? Pain in the arse on the 5 digits.

That's a big difference!
Were the before pics prior to eating/drinking in the evening?

That’s wild. If I were you I would at the very least bring it up with my primary care physician. For me it’s the opposite. My watches feel loose in the morning.

Yeah, I can relate to some pretty crazy wrist swelling. Not sure what the temps are like where you're at in England right now, but can't imagine it would be too hot. Here where I am in South Texas when the weather is crazy hot and humid mine swell quite a bit and I find myself using the easy link or the spring system on my Pelagos. When it's cooler, they tend to be quite a bit smaller. It has certainly caused a lot of annoyance with me when it comes to sizing watches. Another thing that can also make a large impact is your sodium intake (too much = excess swelling) and also your hydration status.

DITTO. Damn Texas heat and humidity. It's why I can't wear my BlackBay on a bracelet. And why I'm trying to figure out how to get a Glidelock on my Explorer2.

Wow, is your surname Banner?

Looks like a glidelock clasp, or a strap option, would help.
Is this something that has started happening recently? Diet/meds/activity -related perhaps?

From the pics, that is a huge variance.

My watch is usually looser in the mornings and gets tighter after about an hour or so, but not to the levels you have. I wear my watch fairly tight at standard and usually only need to adjust the glide lock after a workout.

Yesterday where I am in the UK it was 26C

First it’s cyclical it’s ok but if you are having other symptoms of water retention or swelling you need to get a checkup

Maybe you had too much salt

I always have 5mm allowance with my watches. I wear it a bit loose cause it really gets hot and humid

I'm in the UK and I switched to my BB58 yesterday and notice the bracelet to be tighter than when I last wore it. Must be the lockdown!

That’s quite the change in wrist size. Mine is prone to swelling as well (maybe not to that degree) and it’s for that reason, I can’t imagine not owning a glidelock reference or two.

I do have other watches, obviously glidelock and even the half link is a huge help. This is my “beater” watch. Bought at a time when I was less knowledgeable, it has quite a bit of bracelet stretch and over polishing so I figure there’s nothing I can do to harm the condition any further so I wear doing everything.

It’s not a health concer for me. Just a pain in the arse! I am a bodybuilder and am currently in a “bulking” phase. So my diet is pretty much eat as much as I can as often as I can!

You mention that you are a bodybuilder. That explains it.

Nope, I’ve never experienced more than a few mm of change. But I have bony wrists and I don’t change clothing sizes at all. Been the same for 20 years.

Wow - that’s quite a dramatic change in wrist size!

My wrists do swell in warmer weather but maybe only 1 or 2 clicks on a glidelock - but certainly nothing as dramatic as yours!

Cheers

Happens to me too. By not quite that much, but by a lot. I also don’t have very big wrists to begin with.

Just this morning I noticed that I’d had the glidelock of my 6-digit Sub pretty far out last night - but this morning, after being up and around, it was hanging off me by a bunch. Now it is all the way in. I run roughly every other day ( maybe a little more these days to burn off the boredom/stress) and I think I “swell up” as I return all the fluid that I lose working out.

I have literally no swelling whatsoever. But I can imagine that it's annoying.

Same. It’s a non issue for me too. I suppose that’s why I have zero problem with GS’s lack of adjustment and I think glide lock is overhyped. We’re all different. The only time I have any swelling in my wrists is when I’m doing long hikes over 10-12 miles, where my arms are at my sides. Even my hands swell at that point.

Water retention. Get a checkup. Heat and salt will do it too. My wrist goes up and down as well. I notice after certain foods my watches will suddenly get tight. But that seems excessive. Mention to you doc. Probably nothing but diet but can't hurt to ask.

Yeah, I get it...and it drives me nuts in the summertime.

Yours looks a little excessive, though, to be honest.

I get some swelling, but very minimal and usually weather related or if I've done lots of walking. This example is quite extreme.

Yes I feel you!
Currently experiencing a similar problem with my 16610.
Don't like wearing my watches loose, and have sized it accordingly.
Fine for the first part of the day, but then becomes pretty tight after wrist swells up slightly.

Really takes the enjoyment out of wearing this piece imo so currently trying to source a glidelock bracelet.

I get substantial swelling in a certain body part, as well, at certain times.
