Rolex Daytona Everose Gold vs Audemar Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Rose Gold

Hi,
I am female and I have just purchased a Rolex Daytona Everose Gold chocolate dial, which I like a lot.
However, I was on a waiting list for an Audemar Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Rose Gold white dial with diamonds and I just got a call from AP boutique saying that they have the watch reserved for me.
I can't have both, but I love them both. Could you please help me to decide? Which one would look better in a female?
Thank you !

This decision is too big for letting a bunch of strangers decide for you.

With that said, go for the AP :-)

If you can afford to own both at least for a short period of time, I would strongly suggest that. It’s great to ask for opinions here (most of us have), but obviously whichever watch sings to you the loudest and sweetest will be the one to outlast the other.

IMO you need to own both simultaneously to get a good grasp on this.

why should we make the decision for you ..?

Both are beautiful watches (even tho AP is far superior to rolex on all levels but its my opinion (since you asked for it)).

You decide.

Daytona looks perfect

I find AP quite bulky that looks a lot more elegant and suited to your style I would say.

You prefer your everose Daytona over your RG RO? I must say that the everose Daytona with choco dial shines millions. It is stunning

This is an interesting question, not just for you, but in general.

Having owned an assortment of Rolexes and AP ROOs (and Pateks and Richard Milles), it is SO DIFFICULT to choose -- as you are seeing. lol

Aside from the other comments, another consideration is "wrist presence," not to others, but to you. Rolex seems to be this awesome achievement of fit form and function. For me, it nails everything I want my watch to be in design, comfort, reliability, and styling.

AP does too, but in different ways. Like many here, I also think AP is a step up from Rolex. It doesn't feel quite as balanced and comfortable and robustly engineered. But, DAM, it has presence! And the finishings and its look are incredible. I KNOW when I have it on.

Clearly, you can't go wrong with either choice. But if you can't have both, maybe "wrist presence" and how it "speaks to you" when you look at it should be your guide. It's not what the watch does or looks like, its how the watch "makes you feel." That might be a little weird, but I've found it to be true.

As Richard Mille said, "You can buy a Casio that is more accurate and has more features. I'm selling works of art for the wrist. The fact that it can tell time -- is just an added bonus"

I love that. It's so true.

Yes I do ... I will post both up ... but like you said the Daytona has just that extra glisten and the chocolate face just sets it off . Don’t get me wrong the Ap is nice but owning both the Daytona just packs that extra punch . And on you personally it suits your skin tone and is way more elegant . Plus the extra bonus this has definitely creeped up in value and retain its value as a sought after piece . My local dealer when I picked up another watch was curious to what I own and when i mentioned I have the Daytona everose in choc face he said he is lucky if he gets one in a year . Anyway will post some pics on the weekend don’t rush into anything have a think about it before you decide .

I think you're missing one lovely aspect of forum culture, which is sharing, welcoming and asking for others opinions.

I don't think anyone, takes any single one post or even an entire thread and uses it to entirely make a decision like this.

People share their experiences with watches, the way it fits and sizes, whether it "wears" large or small, how the watches look with clothing whether you have a formal or casual style.

I've received plenty of help over the years here and like to think i've helped others as well, all without making decisions for anyone.

All gold AP is next level IMO, but prone to scratches. Daytona more robust and day to day. Either are great pieces however.

Rolex Daytona Everose Gold vs Audemar Piguet Royal Oak 37mm Rose Gold

I think a Daytona looks really good on a woman and my wife has the steel ceramic with a white dial. My friends wife wears a steel Royal Oak and I’m pretty sure it’s the 15450 and it honestly looks amazing. I’ll get my wife a Royal Oak as her next watch.

IMO there are quite a lot of women wearing Daytonas now, wearing an AP is far more exclusive however brand awareness is far less than Rolex so if you enjoy loads of people acknowledging what you’re wearing it might be a lot less with AP.

The AP that is reserved for you is a stunning watch and the diamond bezel will stop the normal bezel scratches and give you a good amount of bling.

Thank you! The AP for me is more unique, more impressive, more exclusive, the daytona is stunning but more on a cool vibe, more relaxed if I could I would keep both!

can't beat a gold AP, so that would be my choice. as mentioned, if you can afford to have both for a week or so that would help you a lot, but otherwise, i would go with the AP. that bracelet is just next level

I’d say find a way and get both. You won’t regret it.
