Hi All,

I picked this up whilst on holiday last week, and immediately went to the OB to grab the rubber strap for added versatility.

Started my journey with a heselite Speedy back in 2017. 3 Rolex, 2 Seikos, and a Tudor later… I’m back to a fantastic brand, with a superb model. Don’t think I’ll be taking this off for a long while yet!

Whilst I’m not wanting to add anything right now, the green dial Aqua Terra did catch my eye… Damn this hobby is expensive.

Thanks all... I know it's personal preference, but I feel the value over a Sub here is phenomenal. Probably been said many times before - and probably not wise to make such a statement on a Rolex forum - but my view is my own

I have both. I love both. I wear both. I think from a value proposition, you’re probably right, but if I had to choose one, I’d choose the Submariner all day, any day.

Congratulations by the way, it’s a gorgeous watch.

I agree with you, its value over a Sub is phenomenal. Yet I own a Sub and not a Seamaster. I tend to make watch decisions based on emotion and it costs me dearly.

Congrats on the new SM! It’s a fantastic watch, and is so cool on the rubber strap. Some day I will pick one up. Enjoy!

Congrats! I own a Seamaster and a Sub and love them both. I agree for the price the Omega is tough to beat. To me, though, there is also something about looking down at a Sub that is special. I don’t really know what it is, a lot of Rolex just have that “it” factor. I do find it nice that all the model lineups they off are so well-refined. Something about that really appeals to me.

Thanks all…

I know the aesthetics of the sub are pleasing and more timeless (pardon the pun), but this for me just ticks that value play and utility feel so well.

That said, the white gold and blue sub does take my fancy… perhaps one day

Congratulations! I bought the same one on a bracelet, but wear it exclusively on the rubber strap. I love mine. Enjoy!

Thanks all... one final observation from me is in regards to the Crystal. I'm sure you're all aware, in certain lighting the crystal doesn't even look like it's there - which gives almost a 4th dimension when viewing it.

I've never had a watch with double AR coating before, so can only guess this to be the reason.
