Ordered my first gold nib fountain pen today from Goulet Pens. Have a small collection of non-gold that I love to use so im excited to get it in.

Pilot Vanishing point and obviously some solid ink.

Congratulations! Gold nibs are lovely and soft and smooth to use typically.

Don't undersell stainless nibs or nibs made from other materials.

One of the things I love about FPs is the ability to have a nibmeister put a grind on it and make it exactly as you desire.

I have used german steel nibs and they are a work horse. I have found Gold nibs to be a better "Writers Nib", As always, use what works for you. Congrats on entering the Gold arena.

Congrats! Can we get your opinions on it/review. I've been thinking about getting a VP or a Lamy Dialog. My daily pens are Sailor 1911s and Visconti Homo Sapiens, but I prefer the balance when they aren't posted so it can be annoying to write with then when I'm at court or on the road.
