[Unofficial] 2023 Holiday Rolex Incoming Thread

I was informed by my wonderful AD that they would not see any more deliveries from Rolex in 2023. That means I’ll have to wait my turn for my next watch in 2024.

For those who do get some “nice list” news from their respective ADs or under the Christmas tree, please share here!

Happy Holidays, TRF!

A few days early from my “grey AD”….i just traded out a couple Rolex to bring in their bigger versions….YG DD to YG SKD…Submariner to DSSD JC.
Also, finally pulled the trigger on something I have been going back and forth on/wanting to try for a couple years. Once I decided to move forward, one of the dealers /gentleman I use went in search of exactly what I wanted, found it after a couple days, and I received a RM011 Americas edition a few days ago.

Not a Rolex, but I just added this one last week to close out the year. Haven’t take it off yet.

Happy Holidays!

Forget AD’s

I tried Hyde Park, a Scottsdale AD, where the new watch people would note even acknowledge my presence. Making my way into the jewelry store, I was finally waited on. The saleslady was nice showing me OVERPRICED CPO’s. So I left.

On to ED Marshall here in Scottsdale where they ‘discounted’ a 2yr old DJ41, diamond dial, WG Fluted, Jubilee. Out the door just over 14k. The watch is unworn, not a scratch. Never polished! Full set!

So my holidays are complete.

Beautiful! 50th Anniversary Snoopy......This is my favorite Omega ref and grail. I think if I had one of those, I'd be taking it off multiple times a day just to watch the amazing caseback movement!

A big congrats. Happy Holidays!

That is correct, Rolex shuts down every winter for a few weeks. Actually, I think most of Switzerland does it. must be nice…

Was at my AD today. Incoming for my girlfriend. Well, an incoming engagement ring. She’s super understated and naturally beautiful. Decided to go a different route than the norm. Not flashy by any means… maybe I’ll get lucky in 2024 and get the call for a BLRO lol. I hope she likes this:

That’s big news, Brad! Very pretty! I got engaged on Christmas Eve, to my last (late) husband, in 2005. It was very special. I’m excited for you both. Keep us posted.

I have had a few pieces allocated to me the week before Christmas the last few years. I had thought that might happen this year. Not to be as it turns out. He told me we will work on some exciting watches in 2024. I was surprised at having a feeling that this would be just fine and in fact maybe preferable. I had an amazing collector year in 23 and happy to stay put.
